HAMPTON, Va. (July 24) - A 100-lapper for the Crossroads Fuel Service Late Model Stock Cars tops the bill this Saturday, July 26, as Langley Speedway closes out the month with Kevin Heyman, Wachovia Securities Night - the 15th event on its 2008 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series calendar.

In addition to the Late Model feature, Saturday's lineup includes: Super 8 Motels/B&B Engines Grand Stocks (40 laps); Med Express Urgent Care Super Trucks (25 laps); E-Z Auto of Newport News UCARs (25 laps); and, Standard Welding Pro 6s (30 laps).

Gates open at 1 p.m. with afternoon practice rounds running from 2 'til 4. Time trials get under way at 4:30, following the 4:15 drivers meeting. Pre-race ceremonies begin at 6:55, while the Super Trucks kick off the evening's feature slate shortly after 7.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children, 6-12. "Little Race Fans" (under 6) are admitted free when accompanied by an adult.  Military members in uniform are also admitted free. Military members in civvies (active-duty or retired, with ID) and senior citizens (60+, with ID) receive a $2 discount off the regular adult ticket price.   Jammie Goode heads into this week's Grand Stock 40-lapper on a two-race winning streak. As a "reward" for his recent success, he'll start Saturday's race from no better than the outside of Row 4. It'll be the second time this year that Goode will attempt to overcome the track-mandated handicap.

After winning the first two races of the season, Goode was also slated to start eighth on May 31. He made it a bit more interesting, though, when he appeared on the grid without his mandatory head-and-neck restraint. That miscue dropped him all the way to the rear of the 22-car field. He rallied for an impressive second-place finish, coming home just over a car-length behind winner Paul Lubno.

Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and the fun gets under way at 7. Tickets are just $5 for adults and kids (6-12). Children under 6 are admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Pit passes for competitors are $15.
