Update: Foul weather claims 2nd straight program

HAMPTON, Va. (May 18) — For the second Saturday in a row, inclement weather intruded on NASCAR Whelen All-American Series activities at Langley Speedway.
The Military Appreciation Night program, presented by the Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce and the Daily Press, which had been scheduled for this evening, has been pushed back to Saturday, June 29.
Complimentary tickets for service members and their families, which were issued for tonight's races, will be honored on June 29.

With hopes for a more favorable forecast, Langley Speedway resumes its 2013 campaign next Saturday, May 25, with 4CDL.com/Thomas Nelson Community College Night.
The Memorial Day Weekend feature slate includes: KeesVacations.com Modifieds (Twin 30s); Pepsi Grand Stocks (Twin 20s); Butterfoss & Barton Orthodontics Super Streets (40 laps); and, Standard Welding Pro Sixes (30 laps).
Front gates open and afternoon practice rounds begin at 2 p.m. Time trials get under way at 4:30. Following opening ceremonies, the evening's first feature event goes green shortly after 7.

A longtime member of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series, Langley Speedway is a .395-mile, slightly-banked oval. The track is located at 11 Dale Lemonds Dr., off North Armistead Ave., in Hampton, Va.

RAINOUT POLICY:
Langley Speedway typically runs 4 to 6 Races per weekend program. After 50% of all scheduled laps are run for the evening, and the program is cancelled due to weather, the Racing Program for the night is complete. No refunds will be given. If the 1/2 way point is not achieved, You MUST retain your ticket stub/ rain check for re-entry for the next scheduled night of racing.
